It is of upmost importance to assure that all children are given the opportunity to perform from a young age.
In December '16, seventeen young cellists gave their first public performances after having started the cello just a few months previously as part of the group lessons set up by Lucy-Rose.

As well as performing solo pieces and as a group of 9, some of the older cellists were also part of Copthill's community orchestra who played in the final carol service of term, with the rest of the orchestra and accompanying the choir.
